Small Groups
At Christ Community Church we are building communities that have passion for Christ and compassion for others. These communities are small groups of people who meet at the church or in homes throughout the week for the purpose of growing in their relationships with Christ, loving and encouraging one another, learning more Scripture and life applications, and praying for one another. It's also a great place to explore and ask questions. Each small group will usually have between four and 12 people and will be led by a small group leader. The groups may be organized around locations, stages of life, marital statuses, special interests, and other needs. You can choose the group that you want to be part of based on your own interests, availability, and affinity with the other people in the group. Groups usually get together at least every other week.

What small groups are presently at CCC?
At CCC, there are women's small groups of different age groups and different seasons in life. There are men's small groups that meet at many different times and locations with the hopes of fitting into men's work schedules. There are are also couples' small groups, some of which take advantage of the church's childcare.
How do I join a small group?
Click here and fill out our Small Group Finder form. It is a tool that helps us match you with a small group. Someone will contact you about the current small groups available. You can also call the church office (336-288-2365) and we will be glad to take the information right over the phone.
Do I need to be a member of CCC to join a small group?
Absolutely not! In fact, we think one of the best ways to get to know the church and others is through a small group.
Is there a set curriculum for the small groups?
The Elders have encouraged small groups to do inductive Bible studies, where books of the Bible are observed, interpreted, and then applied to our daily lives. There are, however, many topical Bible-based studies that cover a wide spectrum of interests. In the church library (located next to the Fellowship Hall), there is a large compilation of both topical and inductive Bible study guides for small groups. While small group leaders and members are given priority, anyone can check out the materials in the library, so stop by and see all that is available!
What if I want to start a new group?
The Elders of CCC ask that small group leaders be a member of CCC and go through the Small Group Leaders Training, which is offered two times a year. The next one will be held in September 2009. Starting a new group is both easy and rewarding. Call the church office if you would like to begin a new group.
